AFL: Optical Fiber Identifier
The AFL Optical Fiber Identifier (OFI-200) is a rugged, handheld tool used to detect live traffic, test tones (270, 330, 1000, 2K Hz), no signal, and signal direction in singlemode fiber—without disconnecting the fiber. Its two-position plunger fits 250 µm, 900 µm, ribbon, and 2–3 mm jacketed fiber, eliminating the need for adapters. Ideal for fast, non-disruptive fiber identification in the field, even in tight splice trays or low-light conditions.
